Chip Dobner - CEO / Founder / AAPCO Southeast, Inc.

Chip Dobner founded AAPCO in 1988 in Atlanta, Georgia. Initially, the business served as a new construction painting contractor for the multi-family apartment industry. Prior to starting AAPCO, Chip continued to work in operations and sales for a large paint manufacturer, co-owned a paint dealership, and worked as a representative for a spray equipment company.

In 1991, Chip decided to make a full-time commitment to building AAPCO and moved the business to Charlotte, North Carolina where he began to pursue and attract renovation projects in the Carolinas. With Chip's focus on building long-term client relationships through quality work that earned their trust, AAPCO quickly grew into one of the largest multi-family apartment renovation contractors in the area. But, in addition to building relationships, Chip saw the business had a higher calling. By integrating his strong faith into his day-to-day running of the business, he could do more than build a reputable company. He could also impact people's lives in a positive way. In 2000, with his business thriving, Chip made the decision to pursue pastoral ministry and started a local congregation. In 2002 he turned the day-to-day operations of AAPCO over to his brother Stan to pursue his ministry full-time.

Today, although he is not as active in AAPCO as in the past, Chip and his wife Stephanie are still involved in important decisions and maintaining the vision for the business - ensuring that his business and his ministry work hand-in-hand to make a meaningful impact on people's lives.

Stan Dobner - President / AAPCO Southeast, Inc.

As the brother of AAPCO founder, Chip Dobner, Stan started his career with AAPCO in 1988 as a Project Manager and Estimator. Like his brother, before making a full-time commitment to AAPCO, Stan owned other businesses — paint contracting firms in Atlanta and Charlotte. In 1994, Stan was named Vice President of Operations and has been instrumental in the decision-making process that has grown AAPCO from a small multi-family apartment painting contractor to a multi-million dollar general contractor that specializes in all aspects of multi-family apartment renovation.

In 2002, Stan was named Executive Vice President and took over day-to-day operations so Chip could pursue pastoral ministry full-time. In 2006, Stan was named President and continues to nurture the company vision of building strong client relationships while having a positive effect on the lives of the people his associates meet and work with.

Pete Zimmerman - Senior Vice President, Field Operations / AAPCO Southeast, Inc.

Pete Zimmerman began his career at AAPCO in 1996 when he was hired as a Project Manager and Qualifier for General Contracting licensing. He brought with him 17 years of experience from his job at Dover Elevator where he held positions ranging from Installer to Construction Coordinator and, ultimately, Construction Manager responsible for multi-million dollar commercial projects.

In 2001, Pete was promoted to Vice President of Field Operations and, in 2008, to Senior Vice President of Field Operations. Today he supervises project managers and oversees estimating, budgeting, manpower and materials allocation, OSHA compliance, state and local inspections, and licensing guidelines compliance. Pete is a licensed general contractor in all of the states where AAPCO is licensed with the exception of CA. He holds all of the required certifications in those states, and is recognized as a General Building Contractor by the International Code Council. He is also recognized as a LEED Accredited Professional by the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI), is certified in mold remediation by the Environmental Institute and holds numerous certifications from the Construction Estimating Institute.

In his spare time, Pete likes to take his work home with him having built five homes from the ground up "for fun."

Ron Boyette, Jr. - Regional Vice President, Operations / AAPCO Southeast, Inc.

Ron Boyette, Jr. joined AAPCO in 2000 as a Project Manager, immediately adding his extensive experience and credentials to our team - four years as a journeyman electrician, HVAC certification, co-ownership of Blackhawk Construction & General Contracting, and Maintenance Director / Assistant Construction Director of Florida for Pinnacle Realty Management & Construction.

Today Ron presides over AAPCO's Florida Division, managing three area project managers and all sub-contracting efforts in that state. In 2008, he also completed OSHA Campus 360 training. Of all of his responsibilities, he takes the most pride in seeing the final results of his teams' efforts, knowing they have exceeded the property owner's expectations.

Ron E. Anderson - President / AAPCO West, Inc.

In 2007, Ron Anderson formalized a working relationship of several years by joining AAPCO as President of AAPCO West, bringing 30 years of experience in painting and renovation in California, Nevada and Arizona. But his credentials don't stop there. Ron also holds a B-1 and C-33 Building Contractors License in addition to an Insurance Adjustors license for Property and Casualty Adjusting.

His current duties primarily include new business development for AAPCO in all western states, although Ron has hands-on experience in all phases of architectural coatings and structural repairs. Which is why he's not afraid to "get in the trenches when needed for the betterment of the job." In fact, what he loves most about his job is taking on the challenge of a project that requires hands-on experience.
